   Well. i have to agree with some points stated yet some of these are just a no.
   Some parts were a bit oversimplified:

   – External cheats aren’t inherently safe — they’re still detectable through signatures or behavior.
   – DMA cheats aren’t invisible — they need vulnerable drivers or hardware that can still raise flags if its not made right, it can be detected really easily on BE, EAC, Vanguard, and even VAC.
   – Hooking is used by both cheats and anti-cheats — API-level hooks are easily detected.
   – Kernel cheats ignore modern defenses like PatchGuard or HVCI. (Which vanguard is good at detecting.)
   – VM cheats aren’t stealthy anymore. more like haven´t been more a long time. — most anti-cheats flag virtual environments.

   Nice summary, but some claims could be more accurate in general.
   Its generally a bit outdated in my opinion. Sure the video was posted 6 months ago, yet by the time it came out it would be still outdated.

   Also, DMA´s are cheap. You can get a full setup for around 30-90bucks. Just the firmware might be a bit high priced. – 90-400

    I think it’s missing « man in the middle » cheats where the player basically intercept / modify network packets by having a device in between the player pc and the gameserver on the network
    Games often use tls encryption / certificate pinning but it’s still possible to reverse engineer the game executable to find the certificate and so be able to decrypt packets even on tls; when you have this you need to fully undestand the game replication stack to understand what data is transmitted here and typically what correspond to player positions;

    VM like traditional VM cheats are quite a gimmick, unlike hypervisor cheats. The diference is that hypervisor cheat runs directly on your PC and manipulates your game. But at the same time the cheat is containerized from your system, so you can't see it even from kernel level

    And yes, people do actually buy cheats for the smallest of games. One game I’ve seen that has a few cheaters in Roblox, is WW1 Entrenched. The game isn’t even that popular, just a steady player base of 2k+. For much larger games however, cheaters will be willing to actually do subscriptions. So in Rainbow Six Siege, you can get wallhacks, aim bot, and something like infinite ammo for just 40 bucks a month. These communities that sell these cheats probably sell user data for even more money. Cheating is not just a 12 year old getting mad they died in a game to either a bad choice or equal/better player and they cry a cheater killed them, it’s a real, multi million, possibly even billion, dollar business.

    there is also people cheating on console using vision cards, a PC and AI tools. (ESP and aimbot) although i wouldn't call it "hacking the game" its gonna be the norm in the future with AI becoming better…

    we used to make bots (that read client-sided data and would control input for you) by hacking the client and we also used "color bots" (a external program that just read the pixels on your screen and controlled input for you)

    the color bots were more successful and had a lower ban rate because it was essentially like a real player. (although, still not as human-like and very limiting in most cases)

    with todays AI models getting better, it'll almost be impossible to determine if the people ingame are legit players or cheaters using AI.

    Just outlaw narcissistic abuse and manipulation, and most cheaters will end up caught early.
